TERMINAL MANAGEMENT OFFICE OF TUBOD
The Terminal Management Office of Tubod is a Terminal Port supervised by the Terminal Management Office of Tubod under the administrative area of jurisdiction of the Port Management Office of Iligan. It is about 69 kilometers from Iligan City and about 12 nautical miles from the Port of Ozamiz across Panguil Bay. As early as 1977 until 1996, the Port had an active port traffic. Boats of Tamula Shipping used to ferry cargoes and passengers from the port traffic. Boast of Tamula Shipping used to ferry cargoes and passengers from TMO-Tubod to the Port of Ozamiz and vice versa. In early 1980's Millennium Shipping Co., operated RoRo barges that ferried vehicles and passengers from TMO-Tubod to the Port of Silanga in Tangub City (about 20 kms. from Ozamiz City) and vice versa. The ferry services of Tamula Shipping and Milleneum Shipping Co., however, halted in the late 1996 because of the introduction of more modern, more convenient and faster RoRo ferry services by Daima Shipping Corporation which is operated its own private port and ferry services in Mukas, Municipality of Kolambugan, Province of Lanao del Norte, about 15 kms. from Tubod, and nearer to Iligan City.
